Sunshine had a way of making everyone feel seen, valued, and loved. As a dedicated volunteer at Bill’s Hoof & Heart, she shared her kindness, compassion, and servant’s heart with every rider, family, volunteer, and horse she encountered. Her impact will continue to be felt for years to come.
To honor her memory, we have established The Sunshine Scholarship Fund, a special fund dedicated to helping individuals and families access equine-assisted therapeutic services who may otherwise be unable to afford them.
Our Mission
The Sunshine Scholarship Fund exists to ensure that financial barriers do not prevent children, teens, adults, veterans, trauma survivors and individuals with special needs from experiencing the healing, hope, confidence, and connection that horses can provide.
Every donation helps make therapeutic riding and equine-assisted wellness services more accessible to those facing emotional, physical, developmental, or financial challenges.
A Legacy of Hope
Sunshine believed in showing up for others with kindness and encouragement. Through this scholarship fund, her light continues to shine, helping participants discover courage, build confidence, find healing, and experience the unconditional acceptance of our horses.

How Your Gift Helps
Scholarship donations may help cover:
Initial evaluations and assessments
Therapeutic riding sessions
Equine-assisted wellness sessions
Adaptive equipment and safety resources

Financial assistance for families experiencing hardship
All contributions to The Sunshine Scholarship Fund will be used to support participant scholarships and program accessibility through Bill’s Hoof & Heart.
